USE CASE · APRON OPERATIONS
Charging electric ground support equipment needs to fit daily apron operations. ChargeBot provides capacity that can be moved to the equipment’s working area.

Baggage tractors and other electric ground support equipment have different duty cycles and connection requirements. Charging needs to fit parking locations and the time each vehicle must be ready for its next task.
Fixed charging locations on the apron are planned alongside vehicle movements, access routes and electrical infrastructure. Changes to terminal or gate layouts can also affect how charging points are used.
Equipment compatibility, site safety, transport routes and operator approvals are established before deployment. Power and capacity are selected according to the energy required across a shift.
CB-2 can be positioned at designated apron locations using suitable transport arrangements and can provide DC charging to compatible equipment. CB-1’s autonomous movement can be assessed for defined areas and tasks. Both applications are planned around airport operating and safety requirements.
A pilot can begin with a specific equipment group or operating area. Charging time, consumption and return to service are monitored to measure capacity needs and inform wider deployment.
