Energy Storage & Grid Support

CB-2 stores energy for vehicle charging, helping operators plan grid demand separately from the power delivered to vehicles.

Energy Storage & Grid Support

Operating priorities

Vehicle charging can coincide with production peaks or shift changes. Planning needs to account for daily energy demand and use of the existing connection, as well as charging output power.

Battery storage separates the time energy is drawn from the time it is delivered to a vehicle. The financial benefit depends on tariffs, conversion losses, battery use and the site’s consumption profile.

Application requirements

A suitable plan defines vehicle charging windows, energy demand and the time available to recharge the unit. Where solar energy is considered, generation patterns and connection compatibility are also assessed.

The ChargeBot application

CB-2 provides DC vehicle charging from its onboard battery. Recharging can be scheduled around available electrical capacity. Battery size and unit numbers are selected according to daily energy needs and demand during busy periods.

CB-1 can serve applications that require the unit to travel to vehicles within a defined area. Solar input and energy management integration are assessed for each project. Supplying energy back to a facility or the grid requires a separate technical assessment.
